I have used the new in-colour cardstock Rich Razzleberry together with one of the new DSPs Cottage Wall.  Check out the other DSPs in the new catty.

This is just a selection of what is coming in this new mini so make sure you grab a copy for yourself tomorrow or view online (I will be putting the link on my Stampin’ Up Catalogues & Special Offers page on my blog tomorrow.

Until tomorrow then.  I can’t wait to show you everything.

Another wee sneak peek …

I have been admiring cards made with the Top Note die … here is one I have made.  Yes, in another 4 days time you too can get this IMG_1114die.  Just another peek into the exciting things that are coming.  E-X-C-I-T-I-N-G.

The cute little butterfly has been punched out with the butterfly punch that features in our Summer mini – only available now until 31st March.  Get in quick!  And where did I get those lovely leaves from?  These were punched out using an exciting new punch which not only punches out these leaves/branches but ….. oh well, guess I can leave this to tell you another day!

IMG_1133 This is the lovely Medallion stamp – here I have stamped it off the right hand edge of the cardstock.

I have chosen to do a tone on tone card and IMG_1134have stamped the medallion twice, the second time just punching out the centre with the scalloped circle punch and layering finishing off with one of the lovely rhinestone brads.

Another lovely surprise from the new and upcoming Autumn/Winter mini catalogue (though I wouldn’t consider it as being all that mini!

Don’t you love the colour – Rich Razzleberry and adore the DSP Cottage Wall and the matching stamp set Cottage Garden.  Once again the butterfly has been punched out in vellum with the butterfly punch.

Well, think that’s enough for today.  Hopefully I’ll have time to play and make some more to show you before I release this exciting mini catalogue to you on the 1st April.  Bet you can’t wait!!

Happy creating.

Do you want to be sneaky?

Stampin’ Up! have a new mini catalogue coming out on the 1st April.  I have decided to give you some sneak previews of the fantastic things that are coming.  I know these sneaky previews will get your heart racing and that you will be down on your hands and knees begging me for more, more, MORE!!!  But no, you will only get a little peek every so often.

Well here is your first peek:

I can just hear you saying “well what’s so special about that!”.  When I say that I cut out and scored this little box in a matter of seconds does that give you a clue?  If I were to tell you that you could even cut out 3 or 4 at one time, would that help?

Sorry, that’s all I’m going to tell you for now though I bet a lot of you who have furtively looked through the American catalogue will know what I am talking about.

More to come  …….

Creative Inkers Sale A Bration Extravaganza

Last Saturday we had another great afternoon of stamping and good company – what a lucky girl I am!  Despite having to vacate the hall when the fire alarm went off (think the restaurant downstairs burnt the noodles!) we still managed to get our four lovely projects finished.

Take a look at these and eat your hearts out!!!

This Tall Tales Backpack Box & Card set was presented by Rachael and Barbara.  Isn’t this just too cute!  It holds four cards and you can also put some small gift labels in the little pocket attached to the front.  Sorry, didn’t finish making the cards so can’t show them so you won’t see the SAB Whimsical Words set that we used. Perhaps later.

This is called a Reflection card … and on reflection think I need to practice my sponging technique.  Might try it later on glossy cardstock as it is easier to sponge onto. This card uses the SAB set Good Neighbours. This project was presented by Jacque and Bron.  You most definitely need a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for this card!

Have you seen a Magic Card before?  Take a look at this – it’s fascinating.  Normal view shows the bird on the front in black and white but when you pull the ribbon attached to the tab the bird pops out in full colour.  Really magic!!

Thanks Ann and Julia for presenting this.

Janine and Karen were the presenters of this Photoframe Easel card.  The sentiment inside was stamped using Whimsical Words (another SAB set).  Love butterflies don’t you.  These are in three layers – the top layer is vellum which gives a very delicate look to them.  The stamp set on the inset piece is the very popular and versatile Pocket Silhouettes.

Arrived home exhausted but very, very happy.  Hope you also had a nice weekend.

Today I have discovered ……

that I am married to an ‘old’ man!  My husband Nev (Neville) turned 70 today!  Just IMG_1090heard him talking to our son-in-law on the phone and he was jokingly asking SIL if he could design him a motorised zimmerframe – I cut in and said that a motorised zimmerframe would probably go too fast for him to keep up.  Well, I can say that can’t I cos I’m younger than him hee hee.

Anyway this is his birthday card which I cased from the fantastic Kristina Werner.  I must use her as inspiration more – love her designs.

This is one for my grandson Sam who turns 16 tomorrow but I’m safe posting it on here as he never looks at my blog.

Have a feeling that this was based on a Kristina Werner card too.

Taking the ‘old man’ out to dinner tonight but his big party is later in the month when all the family are free to come.

Team swaps

Unfortunately I was unable to attend the team training last Sunday.  Instead I sat under a tree waiting for my 10 yr old grandson who was at a rehearsal for Peter Pan.  He’s only got a bit part – one of the lost boys – but it is his first “professional” show and he told me that there were going to be thousands of people coming to see it!!  Well there will be me and Pop, his Mum, Dad and brother at least!

Anyway although I hadn’t found the time to make swaps myself, I was the lucky recipient of these yummy offerings:

Top left is by Karen, top right by Sally and the one at the bottom is Robyn’s – all of which contain Easter Eggs and you will note that I have been so very, very good and not scoffed the lot!  The gorgeous card (bottom right) is by Debbie.  I am lucky to be in such a talented team of ladies.  Thanks so much everyone.

Thanks for popping in to catch up on what is happening in my life. I enjoy sharing my love of stamping and cardmaking and invite you to have a look at the projects I have made. You are welcome to take my ideas and use them in your own creations.
