Makes me think that perhaps I should get some candy together and have a draw myself so will try and do this within the next few weeks.

Birthdays

Have just entered the busy birthday time - February and March then July, August and September seem to be the most predominant birthday months in our family.

IMG_0402Brenda (my daughter's mother-in-law) had her 60th birthday last week and I made her the following trio:

Here are some close-ups of each individual item:

Then it was my birthday. Thank you so much to everyone who sent me their best wishes - I do appreciate it.

NO - I did not make myself a card lol!! However, I did receive some lovely cards (and pressies):

IMG_0424Later this week it is my youngest grandson's birthday so I borrowed Karen's Ahoy Matey set and made him this card.

Must admit that the idea was cased from SCS but I did add a few extra details on to it. Inside I used the jumbo wheel with the map on it across the bottom.

Now have to start making the next batch of cards. These are predominantly male cards so no pretty flowers and glitter, boo hoo!

Auckland Extravaganza Jan 2009

Another exhilarating, exciting Extravaganza!

Just look at all the great things I made:

Polka Dot Punches Spinner card

Peek a Boo card (with chocolate)

Stamped Gift Soap and Box

Mini Squash Album

Decorated Note Pad

Such a great afternoon – full on but very satisfying and enjoyable. It was also good to catch up with some old stamping friends that I haven’t seen in a while.

Now I am ashamed to admit that once again I won one of the door IMG_0401prizes – much to the disgust of my friend Joan. She had barely finished saying “Just wait I bet they call out Judy’s name” and guess what, they did!! She threatened to make me walk home until I pointed out that she had actually come in my car. Sorry Joan it surely must be your turn next time. I think she’s still my friend – well I hope so!

Bodacious Birthday card

Should have posted this card a couple of weeks ago but have been a bad blogger lately.

I have used the Cuttlebug embossing folder Divine Swirl and the stamp set is Bodacious Bouquet.

I also made a couple of other cards but as these haven’t been given to the recipients yet will have to wait and post them later.

Thanks for popping in to catch up on what is happening in my life. I enjoy sharing my love of stamping and cardmaking and invite you to have a look at the projects I have made. You are welcome to take my ideas and use them in your own creations.
