I will be continuing my blogging and actually have a number of cards to show you, so please keep visiting.  It is only doing classes and workshops that I am dropping at present, but will continue as long as I can as a hobby demonstrator.

Now for the big countdown to tomorrow’s launch of the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue – can’t wait to place my order!!!

You’re a STAR!

I made this card for my 16 yr old grandson Sam who took part last week in the production of Spamalot (a Monty Python musical).  I was so proud of him – he was a STAR!

He played the part of the dashing Sir Galahad. This is a photo of him singing the duet The Song that Goes Like This with Lady Guinevere.  They both sang so beautifully.  In fact the whole production was so professionally done you wouldn’t think that these were teenagers performing, they could have been taken for seasoned performers.

Bravo Sam – you fully deserved all the accolades.

Catching up

Seem to have got behind in my blogging so will combine them on this post.

CIA (Christmas in August)
Last Saturday my Stampin’ Up group of demonstrators – WOW paperKRafters led by our fearless leader, Karen (aka Karensa slayer of the Alpha Mephistopheles!!) – held our annual Christmas in August event.  Look at all the demos working hard.

This is a little box containing 4 note cards that I made for a door prize.  This was won (together with a stamp set) by Elaine Mobberley – congratulations.

The afternoon was a great success despite the pouring rain.

ATCs – Artists Trading Cards
I took part along with some other demonstrators in an ATC swap.  The theme was childhood.  Check out my entry (top row on right) along with the cute and clever ATCs I received back.

ATCs
Oops, somehow I seem to have got the same card up twice.  Never mind!
Contributors are:
Top row L-R: Wendy Herbert, Vicky-Lee Mueller, Carol McCready, Me
Bottom row L-R: Kristine McNickle, Lisa Bullock, Deborah Ryan (I think!! – no name on back)

They are all so great aren’t they?IMG_1392

Circle Brayered card

I made this card using the Circle Scissors to create a mask which I then brayered and stamped.  A very simple and yet effective card which was ideal for, in this case, a male birthday.

Well think I must be just about caught up now.

Have fun – wishing you inky fingers and lots of glitter!

A fond farewell

Only one month to go before the launch of the new 2010-11 Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue.  EXCITING!!!!!!

However before we bid the current catalogue goodbye, we have been given a list of all those stamps and accessories that are retiring.  YOU ONLY HAVE UNTIL 31 AUGUST TO ORDER BEFORE THEY ARE GONE FOR GOOD!

A Rose is a Rose Here is the link to the RETIRING Stamps and Accessories - if last year is anything to go by things sell out very quickly (like in hours) - so do keep checking back here for an update of what is happening and what is sold out.

The page no. refers to the Idea Book & Catalogue, if you don't have your own Bloomin' with Beautycopy the on-line catalogue can be viewed HERE

Shipping costs are 5% or $9.95 minimum delivery to your house.
Free shipping on all orders over $200.

Remember GST rises are coming, they're only a small increase but we've already been told that paper worldwide is increasing in price and this will be reflected in the new Catalogue and there will also be a small increase in the punch price. You'll notice most of the punches that are on the retiring list, if they have an asterisk they're being reconfigured to the newer slimmer style punch, same as the extra large 2-step bird. As a minimum I'd stock up on Whisper White & any of your favourite colours that are staying.

So don’t delay and be disappointed.

Thanks for popping in to catch up on what is happening in my life. I enjoy sharing my love of stamping and cardmaking and invite you to have a look at the projects I have made. You are welcome to take my ideas and use them in your own creations.
