Nicky’s Birthday

Another daughter, another birthday.  Nicky celebrated her birthday yesterday.  We spent it at the filming of New Zealand’s Got Talent where Tyler was performing with the Variety Voices choir.  Not allowed to tell you whether or not they got through to the next round – you will have to watch the show when it comes on TV.

Guess you are all waiting to see the card I made for Nicky.  Well here it is:

Love the ease and simplicity of using the Secret Garden stamp set with the matching framelits.  Yeah!!  No manual cutting out.

As we were unable to go out to dinner with Nicky last night this will be happening one night next week (when her present arrives), but had spent the day with her.  Hope you have had a wonderful birthday Nicky … with more to come.

Kim’s Birthday

Last week my youngest daughter celebrated her birthday.  I made her this lovely card cased from Sandi McIvor.  Such a lovely card.  Anyway here is my version made especially for Kim.

You have to love this new stamp set – Wetlands.  Know I will be using this a lot!!Hope you enjoyed your birthday last week Kim.  It was lovely to be able to meet up with you for lunch. xx

A sentimental card

Love this new Stampin’ Up! Wheel – Shop Around.  For this card I have combined it with the Sale-A-bration set – Feeling Sentimental.  Think they go together really well.

I cut an A5 piece of Pistachio Pudding cardstock but only folded it over so it came to the top of the stamped wheel then put a piece of vellum at the bottom to cover the stamped wheel which was stuck on to a Whisper White piece of cardstock on the inside of the card.  I used Washi tape to connect the vellum to the Pistachio Pudding cardstock.  I then stamped the cycle on to the front then stamped it again on Whisper White and cut out, attaching it to the stamped image using dimensionals.

Finished it all off with a piece of Baker’s Twine and a button made with our moulds.

Very pleased with this.

Word Grunge

I used Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate to put together this card.  Really love these two colours together.

I have used four different stamp sets – Dictionary background stamp, Six-sided Sampler, Tape It, and Gorgeous Grunge.  They all work well with each other.'

Think I am finally getting the hang of making these ‘grungy’ type of cards!!

Hope you are enjoying a creative weekend.

Thanks for popping in to catch up on what is happening in my life. I enjoy sharing my love of stamping and cardmaking and invite you to have a look at the projects I have made. You are welcome to take my ideas and use them in your own creations.
