Just the perfect excuse to stay inside and create. I have been having fun trying out different ideas and colour combinations. Here is a selection of what I have made.
Here I have tried the colour combination of Perfect Plum, Always Artichoke and Certainly Celery. I stamped the Upsy Daisy stamp on using Versamark and embossed it with the clear embossing powder. The word Thanks from the Love Your Dreams set has been stamped on using the Basic Brown inkpad which actually works quite well and gives it a slightly green tinge.
Wasn't quite sure about the colours when I started as they are all quite dark but really like it now it's finished and think it has an elegant look to it. What do you think? You may have to enlarge the picture to get a better look.
Another Upsy Daisy image! Really love this stamp (as if you can't tell!) I have used the new In-Color cardstock - Pacific Point and Whisper White. I used Versamark for stamping the image and embossed with white embossing powder.
Joan lent me her Nestabilities folder Labels 1 while she is away so I am having fun playing with it. This is the first card I have made. I enjoy doing pinning and think it looks nice here. Apart from the label all supplies are Stampin' Up.
Now this was an experiment. I have seen a lot of cards lately using decoupage images. I picked some sheets up in Australia and thought I would give it a go for a change BUT I messed up! Thought you just stuck one sheet on another and it wasn't until I had finished that it dawned on me that you should separate them using dimensionals. Duh!! However it won't go to waste as I am sending this to a lovely 96 year young lady in Napier (an Aunt of my husband). Unfortunately she is nearly blind so won't notice that it has been assembled wrong and as they say, it's the thought that counts.
Hope you are enjoying the opportunity to be inside having fun like me!

ohh they're all gorgeous
All of these cards are beautiful!!! I need to do more embossing. It makes the images come alive. Love all the colors you used, even in the first one that I agree looks elegant!
You have been a busy wee girl Aunty! I think they look fantastic! I really like the colours in the first one. Keep up the super creations!
All of them have a lovely touch of elegance. And as far as your decopauge. It's extremely lovely. You should have no worries. No one except you knows that it was not assembled the way you thought it should be. Lovely.
What a gorgeous set of cards, love the daisy stamp.
Decoupage... hmm... not my favourite technique by a long way :)
