What a lot of lovely encouraging comments I received about my first workshop so thought I should fill you in on how it went.
I enjoyed it and found it very laid back as it only consisted of my sister, niece, and a friend of my sisters (plus my niece’s 10 year old daughter).
Unfortunately, or I should say, disappointedly, none of the ladies from the Red Hat club my sister belongs to of which 6 had definitely accepted the invitation turned up. Well their loss as I had made a second make and take especially for them – a bookmark featuring the new stamp set Tote-ally Tess complete with her red hat.
I have got two new converts though – my sister and her friend and between them (and my daughter who couldn’t attend) spent enough to enable my sister to get a hostess set so I was very pleased about that.
For my demonstration card I used the perennial tried and true card using the very versatile So Swirly wheel with a few little flowers from the Priceless stamp set added then glittered. This was stamped using the lovely new Rich Razzleberry cardstock and ink. This card always has the WOW factor for first time attendees.
I then cased the card we did at Jacque’s demonstrator training the other Saturday – an easy card for beginners but this also has them realising that yes, they can make lovely cards using Stampin’ Up! products. The stamp set can only be obtained by hosting a workshop and earning enough sales for a Level 2 stamp set.
I am now looking forward to my first scrapbooking class which I am holding at my home this coming Wednesday evening at 7 pm. If you would like to attend please email me. You would be very welcome.

It's great that your sister managed to earn a free hostess set Judy. As you said, it's the others' loss for not turning up so chin up! Once they see what they've missed they'll be sure to turn up next time :~)
It can be disheartening when only a few turn up. But, it certainly didn't deter your sales!! Well done. Shame you didn't get to show the ladies your little Red Hat lady. She is so cute! Yes, definitely their loss..
Well done on the sales Judy! You can never tell just by how many turn up at a workshop. Once your name gets around, they will be banging on your door! Well done again.
